Steve Chan
Steve Chan is a consultant serving as an Investment and Operating Partner of the New Voices Fund. He has over 25 years of experience spanning brand management, entrepreneurial ventures, and corporate strategy. Mr. Chan has been highly engaged in due diligence and co-creation assessment with operational emphasis on strategic initiatives, business planning, financial monitoring, and organizational development for Fund I investments.
Prior to New Voices, Mr. Chan was an Adviser to SheaMoisture of Sundial Brands for over 5 years, where he led strategic and operational planning and served as interim Chief Marketing Officer and interim Chief Sales officer. Mr. Chan was also actively involved in Sundial’s fund raising and sales processes. Prior thereto, Mr. Chan was an executive at Clorox, where he led several acquisitions including the acquisition of personal care brand, Burt’s Bees. He also served as an executive at AAA Northern California. Mr. Chan has extensive experience in strategic planning, general management, brand and product management, innovation, people leadership, and corporate strategy. Mr. Chan also has significant entrepreneurial experience as founder and executive at a wireless market research company that was acquired by Nielsen. Mr. Chan began his career as an Associate at Marakon Associates, a value-based management consulting firm, working in their San Francisco and Australia offices.
Mr. Chan holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University, with a focus on marketing and entrepreneurship, and a B.S. in Business Administration from University of California, Berkeley
